  4. *                      SEARCH ROUTINES                             *

  7. One strong advantage of the 'Progression module' when checking
  8. selective dates is that all aspects within one degree of orb are
  9. listed on screen. The drawback however becomes obvious when one needs
  10. to find the exact date of an event. This is not too difficult when
  11. using the toggle, but it is irksome all the same.
  12.  
  13. The search routines complement the 'Progression Module' by providing
  14. an accurate listing of the planetary aspects over any given period and
  15. the exact time of any event. The weakness of this method lies in
  16. the fact that it is not easy to read which planets are within orb at
  17. any given time. The slower moving planets may show a date by aspect
  18. yet still be within orb one month later.
  19.  
  20. If you are fairly new to astrology keep the period of analysis to a
  21. manageable whole and within the bounds of sound judgment.
  22.  
  23. If the Prediction module is active the choice is given for text to be
  24. included with aspect listings.
  25.  
  26. Note: Before entering any of the search routines  select aspect
  27. types, active and aspected planets. Also ensure that the subject of
  28. the
  29. search is made 'Resident.'
  30.  
  31. The search data may be directed to a printer or to a disk file.
  32.  
  33. TRANSIT SEARCH
  34. ---------------
  35. This routine calculates and displays the exact moment that a
  36. transiting planet is in aspect to a natal planet, through any given
  37. period.
  38.  
  39. Follow the prompts on screen and enter a start and end date.
  40. The display for each aspect is in the following format:
  41.

  44. Element 1. Gives the date of the event.
  45.    "    2. Shows the time of the event.
  46.    "    3. The Astrological Sign(Leo) of the transit planet.
  47.    "    4. The Natal House(02) in which Mars is presently positioned.
  48.    "    5. The transit planet(Mars)
  49.    "    6. Type of aspect(TRINE)
  50.    "    7. The Natal planet being aspected (Jupiter)
  51.    "    8. The Natal Astrological Sign(Can.) of Jupiter.
  52.    "    9. The Natal House(10) of Jupiter
  53.    "   10. Shows the relationship(SQR) between the two planets in the
  54.            Natal Chart.

  56. SECONDARY PROGRESSED SEARCH
  57. ---------------------------
  58. Secondary progression is the most widely used system of predictive
  59. astrology but by hand they are something of a pain to calculate
  60. accurately over any period.
  61.  
  62. This routine makes life easy is this respect and it lists both
  63. 'progressed to progressed' and  'progressed to natal' aspects. The
  64. following example shows each type.

  69. The format is similar to the one given in the transit notes except
  70. that (P) denotes a progressed planet and (N) is a natal planet.

  72. SOLAR ARC SEARCH
  73. -----------------
  74. Solar Arc progression is possibly the second most widely used
  75. system of predictive astrology and has the advantage that it is
  76. relatively easy to calculate aspects.

  81.      An emotional crisis is possible at this time due to sudden,
  82. unexpected and unwanted domestic changes. Your desire for independence
  83. and emotional freedom may precipitate all kinds of difficulties and
  84. complications, especially in close relationships. You are tense,
  85. nervous, moody and have difficulty restraining your feelings. Other
  86. people see you as erratic, unreliable and eccentric.

  89. *             EPHEMERIS AND ASPECTARIAN MODULE                     *

  92. Before entering this module select aspect types, active and aspected
  93. planets. Also ensure that the LOCATION is correct in the 'Resident'
  94. chart
  95.  
  96. EPHEMERIS
  97. ----------
  98. This module presents a tabulated listing of planetary positions
  99. calculated at NOON or MIDNIGHT for any geographical location.
  100.  
  101. The number of planets calculated is determined through the 'Setup'
  102. option of active planets. The default is eleven which includes the
  103. Moon's Node.
  104.  
  105. Location is taken from the resident chart. Most European Ephemeris
  106. listings use London 51.32N 000.00E for calculations.
  107.  
  108. The default calculation step is one day, however the option is
  109. given to change this setting. You may wish to make a condensed
  110. Ephemeris for just the outer planets in steps of five days in which
  111. case you would enter '5' at the prompt.
  112.

  135. period. This routine calculates planetary aspects in the format shown
  136. below.
